Geronimo Trail Scenic Byway
Advisory Committee

The Geronimo Trail Advisory Committee is a critical element in the formulation of a comprehensive corridor management plan for the byway as it:

  • ensures community input and role in the decision making process, and
  • brings together the technical expertise needed to develop a long term course of action that is preservation oriented, economically efficient and achieves the adopted goals and objectives of roadway stakeholders.
During the period of April 1996 to May 1997, the Trail project staff worked with communities and tribes to establish a scenic byway advisory committee. As a result of the meetings and discussions held, the following officials were appointed to the Geronimo Trail Advisory Committee. The Committee representatives have, and will continue to, organize town and tribal meetings to discuss different aspects of the corridor management plan and other components of the Trail project.
