Want to help?

With your assistance, we hope this website will never be "finished." Travel diaries, vacation photos, articles, anything that expands information we've already posted - even short comments and suggestions - whatever you'd like to contribute will be welcome.

  • We'd like to provide longer and more detailed articles about the towns, villages, locations, attractions, and other stops along the Geronimo Trail Scenic Byway in our E-Tour and other pages.

Are you a history buff? A researcher/writer? A resident of the area, or a fan of it? An interested student or retiree? Become a contributing member of our volunteer website team!

There are many enjoyable avenues of fascinating research available including museums, local old-timers and historians, books and pamphlets, historical archives both public and private, and numerous other imaginative pursuits.

You will, of course, receive full credit for anything we post.

  • We'd also like more photos. You may have noticed that we haven't posted any photos for some of the stops along the byway, and that some of the ones we've used could stand to be replaced with something better. Taking photos along the byway could be great fun, especially for somebody with a digital camera.

Our photo wish list particularly includes the villages of Las Palomas, Caballo, Gila Hot Springs, and Elephant Butte; and representative images taken along Side Trip 3 to City of Rocks, Side Trip 4 to Santa Rita Mine, Side Trip 6 to Chloride, Side Trip 7 to Placita and Monticello, and Side Trip 8 to Elephant Butte Lake.

That said, however, our collection of shots of nearly all the locations along the byway are more thin than we might like. If you like taking photographs, you might be interested in becoming a contributing member of our volunteer website team!

And you will, of course, receive full credit for any photos we post.
